What does it mean to lead a project with so many moving parts?
With a background in communication and marketing, Britta has developed and led projects in the private and public sector. She’s worked with commercial brands as well as cultural institutions on a national and international level. Since 2016, she’s been the project coordinate for smARTplaces, leading the strategic planning, concept development as well as operations on the ground.
Kurt Eichler is a senior adviser for cultural policies and planning. Until 2017 he was the Managing Director of the Culture Department of the City of Dortmund and the Dortmunder U. He is vice chair of the EUROCITIES Culture Forum (2010-2012), chairman of the umbrella state association for Youth Culture in North Rhine-Westphalia, chairman of the federal Fonds Soziokultur and a member of the executive board and treasurer of the Society for Cultural Policy in Germany. His centres of interest are cultural planning, culture management and administration, funding concepts and structures, youth culture and cultural education, culture & ICT, creative industries, international exchange and theatre festivals with more than 120 publications on these topics.
