Shilpa is a qualified urban planner and placemaking professional with nearly 15 years of experience. She has advised cities, districts, private landowners, cultural institutions, and airports, helping to create and deliver successful, inclusive, well-designed public places around the world.
In 2011, Shilpa delivered a placemaking and way-finding strategy as part of a larger project to design an enhanced visitor experience masterplan for the iconic PETRONAS towers as well as the cultural institutions and visitor attractions that form part of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Shilpa has also helped the London Bridge BID in formulating their long term place identity and placemaking strategies. In early 2014, she was accepted as a member of the Placemaking Leadership Council, a global network of placemaking experts and practitioners.
